The name of the Federation is "MAHARASHTRA TIMBER LAGHU UDYOG MAHASANGH", herein after called MAHASANGH.The registered office of the Mahasangh is situated in the State of Maharashtra. The present office is at Pune.
     The objects for which the Mahasangh is established are to promote the development of Timber Small Scale Industries and Timber Trade, to provide facilities for exchange of information and opinion of interest of Timber Small Scale Industries and Timber Trade, to co-operate with industrial, business, educational and research institutions and other organization in the collection and exchange of information pertaining to Timber Small Scale Industries and Timber Trade, to establish a library and build up a collection of books, periodicals and papers, films and other audiovisual aids on Timber Small Scale Industries and Timber Trade to undertake professional, technical and management consultation service, to undertake studies, surveys and research project,,to organize common service facilities for its members, to co - operate with other small scale Industries Associations in Maharashtra with the induction of furthering the objectives of the Mahasangh and with this end in view ,to affiliate groups and bodies also by getting itself affiliated to any other national body , if considered necessary, to further the cause of small timber industries and timber trade by holding consultations with Union and State Government and other bodies.
